How we list

This directory is built by hand, entry by entry. Here's exactly how it works.

How a dealer gets listed

We research propane and heating-oil dealers working the Saginaw Valley and the Thumb — their own websites, their own Google profiles, and public listings.
Local and regional independents are the core. National brands (AmeriGas, Ferrellgas, Suburban) are listed on their own page because local searchers look for them — but the directory is built around the independents, and never ranks anyone by ad spend.
Being listed is free. We don't charge to add or keep a listing.
Ownership is disclosed. Stanford, Greene's, Long's and Huron Propane belong to one parent — Greendale Propane Partners of Marlette — and each listing says so. Four local brands, one balance sheet: that's worth knowing when you comparison-shop.

Verification — the sourcing ladder

From the dealer's own site — the strongest source; the card says so.
From the dealer's Google profile — the profile they registered themselves; the card says that too.
Verification call pending — when neither checks out, no number publishes. We never list a number we can't attribute.
Each verification call also fills the fee & contract rows: card fees, delivery minimum, will-call vs auto-fill, tank rental vs owned, first-fill and pre-buy deals. Site-published terms carry their source and date; phone-quoted terms publish as told-to-us, date-stamped. Nothing is estimated, ever.

Why every number is tappable

A directory that hides the phone number behind a form isn't much of a directory. Every number here is verified before it publishes — from the dealer's own website, their own Google profile, or a verification call — and once it's confirmed, it taps straight through from the listing.

Order and ranking

Listings are grouped by home territory, and within each page they appear in a different order on every visit — the page shuffles its cards each time it loads, so no dealer is first by default. We don't sell position. If we ever offer clearly-marked featured placements, they'll be labeled as such — nothing else changes.

Wrong details, closed business, or you'd rather not be listed? Contact us — [email protected] and we'll fix or remove it, no hassle.

What we are not

We're not a fuel dealer, not a propane distributor, and not affiliated with any listed business. We don't take a cut of your delivery — you deal with the dealer directly. And we don't sell fuel futures: anything price-shaped on this site is either the dealer's own published number or a link to someone whose whole job is prices.
